What changed
Disability groups sent notices in July 2025 and sued four grocers in November 2025. On June 4, 2026 the Caen court ruled Carrefour's roughly 71% RGAA conformance wasn't enough.
Who it affects
Medium and large ecommerce sites selling in France, and by extension across the EU.
What to do
- Measure against the full criteria; partial isn't a defense.
- Prioritize search, cart and checkout.
- Answer formal notices with a dated fix plan.
