Where you're exposed, and what ComplyMo does

PDF and image menus

In Thurston v. Midvale, an image menu and a broken PDF supported a judgment.

Audits flag images without text alternatives, so you know which menu to rebuild.

Reservations and booking

Hotels must describe accessible rooms in enough detail to judge, even on a third-party engine.

Audits check the booking pages you host.

Pixels on reservation flows

Courts let claims over TikTok scripts on IHOP's site and MSC Cruises' booking site go forward.

Tracking scripts wait for consent, and every choice is logged.

What ComplyMo does, and what it doesn't

ComplyMo does

  • Audits menu, ordering and booking pages for WCAG 2.2 issues
  • Holds reservation and ordering pixels until a guest agrees
  • Drafts your accessibility statement

ComplyMo doesn't

  • It doesn't rebuild your menu or booking engine
  • It can't make a third-party booking engine describe your rooms
  • The menu helps guests; it isn't conformance on its own

Frequently asked questions

Are restaurant websites really a lawsuit target?

Yes: restaurants, food and drinks led EcomBack's 2025 count with 1,368 suits, and food service was 21% of UsableNet's.

Is a PDF or a photo of my menu a problem?

It has been the basis of liability: in Thurston v. Midvale (2019), an image menu and a broken PDF supported an Unruh Act judgment.

My booking engine is third-party. Am I still responsible?

The hotel reservations rule covers reservations made by any means, including through a third party.

Does the ADA cover my vacation rental?

Title III excludes owner-occupied lodging with 5 or fewer rooms for rent. For units the operator doesn't own or substantially control, the room-holding duties don't apply, but the description duty can.
