Where you're exposed, and what ComplyMo does

Listing search and maps

Unnamed filter buttons and map controls can't be used with a screen reader.

Audits flag buttons, links and fields without names.

Lead and showing forms

Pixels on lead forms share who's buying where, the pattern wiretap suits target.

Trackers wait for consent, GPC is honored and every choice is logged.

Ad audiences

Targeting a listing by age, sex or family status can be a Fair Housing problem.

Consent records show what each visitor agreed to.

What ComplyMo does, and what it doesn't

ComplyMo does

  • Audits listing, search and form pages
  • Holds lead-form and ad pixels until visitors agree
  • Applies each visitor's state consent rules

ComplyMo doesn't

  • It doesn't review ad targeting or Fair Housing compliance
  • It can't fix a third-party IDX feed
  • The menu helps buyers; it isn't conformance on its own

Frequently asked questions

Can I target listing ads by age, gender or ZIP code?

The Fair Housing Act bars ads that indicate a preference based on protected traits.

Are real estate websites sued under the ADA?

Less often, under 1% of 2025 digital accessibility suits, but self-filed Fair Housing Act suits rose sharply in 2025.

Do state privacy laws apply to my brokerage?

In California, yes if you meet one of three tests, and ad pixels count toward the 100,000-consumer sharing test. Connecticut and Rhode Island now apply at 35,000 consumers.

Do pixels on lead forms create risk after SB 690?

Yes. SB 690 removes only private pen-register claims, starting January 1, 2027. Wiretap claims under Penal Code 631 still pay $5,000 per violation.
